NYC Restaurant Week: Palate Pampering
01/22/2013 21:41

Experiencing New York City Restaurant Week is like wayfaring around the world. Diverse cuisines, marquee trends and prime cuts mark the different parts of the journey, converging for a decent price.
Enjoy distinct dishes for the core discount prices of $25 for lunch and $38 for dinner. Munch morsels in the meatpacking district, taste toothsome treats in Tribeca, excite your inner epicure on the east side and more. The boundless possibilities are enticing especially with 317 participating restaurants.
Everywhere, restaurateurs are ready to greet, and chefs ready to serve up courses in good cheer. But a forewarning: some bistros charge more with this week's deal price then their actual price, according to The Village Voice.
For most, they aim to please any foodie’s palate with lush, ripe plates during the lunch rush or dinner hour. Writing for The Village Voice, Robert Sietsema says two good stops: Esca (402 West 43rd Street) and MarkJoseph Steakhouse (261 Water Street).
Go on - your tastebuds are due for some pampering.
*Celebrate NYC’s culinary cornerstones until Feb. 8. For a list of participating restaurants, visit www.nycgo.com/restaurantweek/?a=1&b=1&pid=hp-hero-drgbl-1
